Wouldn't be so sure, shadow gouge was nerfed to hell in toukiden 2, you need to charge the weapon after a combo before using it, no longer shadow gouge spamming like previous versions which was the main dps point of longsword. Dps is insane but very risky since you need to get multiple hits while gouging and not get hit "hard" while doing it. Longsword is insanely effective weapon maybe one of the highest dps if you use it right you need to abuse shadow gouge (red light saber) as much as possible and use right mitamas.
